The Message Waltz was inspired by the Latin American waltz, in general, and by the Peruvian waltz, in particular (a criollo style with great melodic richness and marvelous syncopated rhythms). The piece is written for solo piano but percussion and/or bass can be added. A part for bass is included.
Recording:
The recording features Miles Graber on piano, Steve Senft-Herrera on bass and Sage Baggott on cajón. It was recorded at El Cerrito Studio in El Cerrito, California.
